I will continue to post progress on here in the coming days. Especially if you work with the public, you'll get alot of questions as to why it looks like your face is burning off. If you are working and need time off, I'd definitely say take at least 2 but preferably 3 days off. My skin is gradually getting more and more rough and textured as it prepares to peel and shed. Any sort of friction or even very very gently washing my face is uncomfortable. a heavy dose of physical sunscreen all day. My face is pretty uncomfortable and any sort of heat or the slightest bit of sun lights it on fire. I'd also like to highlight the post procedure down time. I know it may sounds like a sales pitch when you are being told this in the office, but it makes a difference in the long run. I dont think most understand how helpful it is pre and post care to the healing process and to get the results you want. I highly, highly recommend getting on a good, solid skin care regimen with DECENT effective products prior to committing to a laser procedure. Due to my skin being conditioned to the extent that is was the practitioner said I did not need a very aggressive laser treatment because the laser did not have to work through lasers of dead skin/build up. My skin was very conditioned prior to laser due to using reputable products, getting hydrafacials, chem peels, rx grade retinol. Expect to pay between 1200 on a low end and 2000 on high end. To give you even more perspective, I am from Ohio, and went to a med spa in Cleveland where the halo laser was similarly priced. Thus, the regular cost of halo is 1600$ if you did not want package. When I decided to do the laser I purchased a package from them where you pay 2k up front and get 15% off any services you get with that 2k. I got it done at Marina plastic surgery in LA and I paid about $1350 or so. This will help with collagen production and creating new, youthful skin from the micro wounds created with laser. Rather, I did this for prevention measures to remove the little pigmentation I started to get on high points of my face (cheek bones slightly below and lateral to eyes, nose, upper lip, and a little in chin area). I just turned 28 so I did not have that much correction needed, if any at all. Halo is a hybrid laser with both ablative (removes/vaporizes via heat layer(s) of skin) and non ablative (not actually removing skin, lower in wavelength) technology. Hi!
